The Rijksmuseum Masterhat rides on the avalanche that floods the city of Amsterdam with tourist hats by South American origin. Instead of tourists dressing in worldwide uniform creations we let them warm up and drown in the rich Dutch cultural heritage with a smile.

The Masterhats show self portraits of the Rijksmuseum Dutch Masters on the back. When viewed from behind it looks like someone from the Golden Age just stepped into everyday life and watches you closely.
